History of Daihatsu
Daihatsu was a product of Japan’s industrial revolution boom in 1907 and started as Hatsudoki Seizo Co. Ltd headquartered in Osaka. Some of the bright minds from academic institutions decided that an industrial upheaval cannot be successful unless domestic production of internal combustion engines is not achieved.
First production was a 6 horse power suction gas engine and company expanded its ability to produce better and stronger engines gradually. Company proceeded to produce diesel engines and three-wheeled vehicles. Daihatsu finally got its current name in 1951. World War II made them realized the importance of small loading vehicles. A three-wheeled truck was introduced in 1957 called midget. Toyota acquired shares in 1967 and a passenger vehicle was rolled out in 1969. Daihatsu never looked back and focused on small engine vehicles and mastered that particular market.
Parts Failure and Replacement Tips in Daihatsu
It does not matter what make we are dealing with and what part we are talking about. Whether it’s the transfer box or ABS pump . Every part has its ultimate mechanical lifespan and once it is achieved then it’s not a question of if but when it’s going to collapse. So, the bottom line is that even if it is a Japanese brand, you should expect parts failure. When the part failure does happen, you should have the knowledge to ascertain what part is responsible for the fault and once you have singled that part out you can proceed to find that part. Its not easy to find parts in open markets of UAE as rough dealers and inhospitable weather can stop you from being successful in your venture.
